Bitcoin Mining

Bitcoin mining is het proces waarbij nieuwe bitcoins worden gecreëerd en transacties worden geverifieerd en toegevoegd aan het blockchain-netwerk. Het omvat krachtige computers die complexe wiskundige problemen oplossen om het Bitcoin-netwerk te beveiligen en de gedecentraliseerde aard ervan te behouden. Individuen, bedrijven en zelfs gespecialiseerde mining pools nemen deel aan dit proces, bekend als miners. Deze miners spelen een cruciale rol in het waarborgen van de integriteit en veiligheid van het Bitcoin-netwerk. Aangezien het aantal bitcoins in circulatie beperkt is, dient mining ook als een middel om nieuwe bitcoins te distribueren. Miners worden beloond met nieuw geslagen bitcoins voor hun rekenkracht en de energie die zij aan het netwerk leveren. Bitcoin mining heeft zich in de loop van de tijd ontwikkeld, met de komst van efficiëntere hardware en de opkomst van mining farms. Crypto exchanges faciliteren de handel in bitcoins, waardoor miners hun verdiende bitcoins kunnen omzetten in traditionele valuta of andere cryptocurrencies. Dit dynamische ecosysteem van mensen, bedrijven, protocollen en blockchain-netwerken draagt gezamenlijk bij aan de werking en groei van Bitcoin en de bredere cryptomarkt.
