Sotheby's va vendre aux enchères le « premier NFT jamais créé »
La vente aux enchères présentera un NFT de Kevin McCoy frappé en mai 2014.
Sotheby's, fondée en 1744 à Londres, lance sa deuxième vente aux enchères de jetons non fongibles (NFT).

- Dans une annonce faite jeudi, Sotheby's a déclaréla vente aux enchères organiséedu 3 au 10 juin, « le premier NFT jamais créé » – « Quantum » de Kevin McCoy sera présenté.
- « Universellement considéré comme le premier NFT jamais créé, Quantum est horodaté le 05-03-2014 09:27:34 », a écrit Sotheby's dans son annonce.
- Certains considèrent le système basé sur Bitcoin comme «Pièces colorées" comme le premier NFT.
- Les deux autres œuvres de la vente aux enchères de Sotheby's sont un CryptoPunk RARE de 2017 et « The Shell Record » d'Anna Ridler de 2021.
- Les enchères commenceront à 100 $ et une partie des fonds récoltés lors de la vente sera reversée à la Sevens Foundation, une organisation à but non lucratif qui soutient les artistes numériques.
- Étant donné que Beeple a récupéré69 millions de dollars dans ETHLors d'une vente aux enchères chez Christie's en mars, certains s'attendent à des retours élevés :
