About Fusion
Fusion (FSN) is a blockchain project established with the aim of driving financial innovation. Launched in January 2018, Fusion focuses on connecting all financial transactions within an ecosystem that is cross-chain, cross data-source, and cross-organization. This is achieved through the use of smart contracts. Fusion strives to address the challenges of scalability and interoperability prevalent in blockchain technology. By doing so, it aims to foster an ecosystem where digital tokens of any class can be transferred and exchanged on different chains.
Fusion introduces a unique consensus method called Hierarchical Hybrid Consensus Mechanism (HHCM), which merges elements of Proof of Work and Proof of Stake. Additionally, it employs parallel computing by grouping its nodes, enhancing the platform's security and efficiency.
Fusion's primary function is to serve as a platform for financial applications, leveraging its blockchain to enable various financial transactions and interactions. This includes:
Crypto Financial Smart Contract (CSC): These smart contracts facilitate transactions between different cryptocurrencies on the Fusion blockchain.
Distributed Control Rights Management (DCRM): This security layer safeguards assets locked in smart contracts on the Fusion blockchain, using sharding and distributed storage of private keys.
Internet of Values (IoV): Fusion introduces the concept of IoV for managing and exchanging digital assets securely without intermediaries.
Multiple Triggering Mechanism (MTM): This feature in Fusion's smart contracts allows for time and event-based triggering, catering to the needs of complex financial transactions.
The platform's crypto-financial functions include multi-token and multi-role features, allowing for the sophisticated interaction of various digital assets and roles within smart contracts.
Fusion has identified multiple use cases for its blockchain technology, including digital asset licensing, asset-backed bonds, smart locks for property rentals, and monetizing future revenue streams.
Fusion was founded by Dejun Qian, who is also the CEO of BitSE, a startup incubator responsible for launching blockchain projects like VeChain and QTUM. Dejun Qian previously held a managerial position at IBM and holds a Bachelor's degree in computer science from Fudan University.
The Fusion team, with offices in Singapore, Shanghai, and New York, comprises 15 members with expertise across technology, business, and finance. They are supported by 5 advisors who are influential figures in the blockchain sector. Key members include Bret Schlussman, the Chief Technology Officer and Chief Blockchain Architect, who previously co-founded mibi Inc.
