PayPal diz que Venmo está sob investigação nos EUA pelo regulador do consumidor
O Departamento de Proteção Financeira ao Consumidor dos EUA está investigando o aplicativo de pagamentos sociais, de acordo com a Reuters.
A gigante fintech PayPal (PYPL) disse na sexta-feira que seu aplicativo Venmo está sendo investigado por um órgão de defesa do consumidor dos EUA.

- A empresa recebeu uma demanda investigativa civil (CID) do Consumer Financial Protection Bureau sobre supostos “processos de transferência e cobrança de fundos não autorizados” pelo Venmo,relata a Reutersna sexta-feira.
- Um CID é uma Request legal de registros e documentos ou outras informações relacionadas à investigação de uma agência.
- O Venmo oferece uma plataforma de pagamentos ponto a ponto baseada em dispositivos móveis com recursos sociais.
- O PayPal disse em junho passado que iriapermitir usuáriospara comprar, manter e vender criptomoedas no Venmo ainda este ano.
