La Banca dei Regolamenti Internazionali, il gruppo ombrello delle banche centrali, ha nominato Raphael Auer, un esperto invalute digitali delle banche centrali(CBDC), in qualità di responsabile del suo centro di innovazione per la regione dell'euro.

Auer, 43 anni, è ora economista presso l’unità innovazione ed economia digitale del Dipartimento monetario ed economico della BRI, l’organizzazione con sede a Basilea, in Svizzera.ha affermato in una dichiarazione venerdì.
Inizierà il suo nuovo ruolo a febbraio. L'apertura del BIS Innovation Hub Eurosystem Center è prevista per la prima metà dell'anno e si unirà agli hub esistenti in località come Hong Kong, Londra e Svizzera. Il sistema hub è statofondata nel 2019 promuovere la collaborazione tra le banche centrali sugli sviluppi della Tecnologie finanziaria.
