Ang Bitcoin ay ang pioneer ng mga blockchain at cryptocurrencies, na ipinakilala sa isang puting papel na inilabas noong 2008 ng isang tila pseudonymous na tao o grupo ng mga tao na kilala bilang Satoshi Nakamoto.
