Tina-tap ng Coinbase si SEC Counsel Thaya Knight para Pamahalaan ang Public Policy Team
Ang hakbang ni Knight ay kasunod ng pag-alis ni Commissioner Elad Roisman noong nakaraang linggo.
Ang Crypto exchange Coinbase (COIN) ay kumuha ng dating empleyado ng US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) na si Thaya Knight bilang senior public Policy manager nito, kinumpirma ng Coinbase sa CoinDesk noong Lunes.
- Si Knight ang naging tagapayo kay Commissioner Elad Roisman sa SEC mula noong Nobyembre 2020.
- Sa isang Post sa LinkedIn, sinabi ni Knight na Biyernes ang huling araw niya sa komisyon, na binanggit na "habang mapait ang pag-alis na iyon, labis akong nalulugod na makasali sa pangkat ng pampublikong Policy sa Coinbase ngayong linggo."
- Noong Biyernes, si Roisman din umalis sa kanyang posisyon sa SEC matapos maglingkod bilang komisyoner mula noong 2018 at gumaganap na tagapangulo mula Disyembre 2020 hanggang Abril 2021 nang bumaba sa pwesto si Jay Clayton at bago pumalit si Gary Gensler. Inihayag ni Roisman na aalis siya sa SEC sa Disyembre at hindi sinabi kung saan siya pupunta.
- Sa pagitan ng 2018 at 2019, si Knight din ang dating tagapayo kay SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce.
